Case study: Holiday Lodges, Abergele
Private Individual
Client
Abergele, Conwy County Borough Council
Project location
Development of three detached permanent lodges and associated development including landscaping, drainage and access.
The development of tourist accommodation within Conwy County needs to meet a specific set of planning policies and principles. Having previously had negative pre-application feedback from the Council, the client approached NJ Planning to understand the future feasibility of the project.
Having monitored and tracked recent appeal decisions relating to tourist accommodation with Conwy, NJ Planning proposed a specific planning strategy which enabled the proposed development to become pol icy compliant in principle, and managed and mitigated other material planning considerations to ensure a successful outcome for the client.

Client testimonial
“This is the first time I have worked with Neil in NJ Planning and my experience from start to finish was excellent. Neil is very professional and offered great advice from the start whilst also informing me of what pitfall we might face throughout the process. We knew it wasn’t going to be an easy application to get through as there were a couple of different parts to the process that we had to complete, and Neil was the only one I had spoken to who had the confidence to try it. Neil’s communication is spot on, he kept me up to date throughout and even spoke to me just to inform me if he was still waiting to hear about things his end, so I wasn’t kept in the dark. His hard work paid off and the planning permission was granted. I would highly recommend NJ Planning.”
