The proposed development comprised of the consolidation of previous planning consents for the continued use of the quarry for waste receiving, processing and operation of a waste transfer station together with an extension to allow the use of land for the stockpiling of material on land at Plas Gwilym Quarry, Llysfaen Road, Old Colwyn
NJPlanning undertook a full turnkey project management service, on behalf of the client, for the preparation, submission and management of the application during determination.
Services included the preparation of the statutory Pre-Application Consultation process, together with the preparation of a Waste Planning Assessment and a Supporting Planning Statement. Close liaison with the North Wales Minerals and Waste Service was undertaken prior to submission and during its determination.
During the application determination, NJPlanning attended Town Council meetings, liaised with Councillors and spoke in favour of the proposed development at the Planning Committee meeting.
The application was approved by Conwy County Borough Council and is currently at condition discharge stage which NJPlanning is continuing to support the client with.
